$ 1 billion powerball massages gold media

Powerball has just struck a billion dollars and people panic.
For 39 consecutive prints, no posts made the six numbers for the Jackpot Powerball. The last draw took place on Saturday evening.
Now, for the next labor festival, the jackpot has made a snowball at $ 1.1 billion and will be the fifth price of the game, according to a lottery press release. The largest jackpot high price was collected in November 2022 by Edwin Castro, a California man who marked a drawing of $ 2.04 billion.
The five winning numbers will be announced just after 11 p.m. on Monday after a live drawing program from the Florida lottery drawing studios in Tallahassee.
The winner will have the possibility of obtaining the total of $ 1.1 billion as a graduated rent of 30 years or obtaining a single flat -rate cash payment of $ 498.4 million. Most winners opt for this last option.
The price is then subject to substantial taxes, which include an automatic reservoir tax of 24% and more in federal and state taxes on the next tax season. But winners in some states – California, Florida, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming – are exempt from state taxes.
The drawing on Monday evening will be 40th since the last jackpot worth $ 204.5 million was won on May 31, 2025 by someone in California. So far, there have been three other Jackpot winners in 2025 in addition to the winner in May, three lucky winners of Oregon, Kentucky, and another from California.
The chances of winning the jackpot are 292.2 million, according to the multi-state of the lottery.

How to play powerball
Powerball tickets cost $ 2 per room and are sold in 45 states, as well as Washington DC, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. You can buy them in local convenience stores, service stations, grocery stores, some airport terminals and even online in certain states such as Arizona, Massachusetts and New York.
Then you choose six numbers on your ticket – five white balls numbered from 1 to 69 and a red powerball numbered from 1 to 26. You must use a black or blue pen or a pencil to do it. If you cannot choose them yourself, you can request a “fast Powerball ticket” and a computer will generate random numbers for you.
Then you put your game shift back to the retailer or automatic lottery distributors to receive a ticket and you are ready for the results.
Come on Monday evening, you can connect to the live drawing on the official site of the lottery to watch the numbers roll. If you match the five white balls in any order and in the red powerball, you win the Mega Prize.
People are not only playing for the jackpot
The winning figures on Saturday evening were 3-18-22-27-33 and PowerBall 17, but no winner has matched all these figures to hit the jackpot.
But if you don’t win jackpot on Monday, you can still win smaller prices. For these, some people also add a “power game”, an additional multiplier for $ 1 which can increase your non-jackpot earnings anywhere from 2x to 10x.
During the drawing on Saturday evening, there were three $ 2 million winners in Colorado, Indiana and New Hampshire, and nine winners of a million dollars in Florida, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and California.
Why the jackpot became so large
A certain number of factors come into the estimated value of an ticket price. In the end, it is determined by the basic game rules and the number of the number of tickets purchased nationally. The higher the tickets buy a higher jackpot salary, but also likely to win.
The chances of winning the Jackpot Powerball are very, very low. This is also what increases the price. When a jackpot drawing does not correspond to any posts, the price increases for the next drawing while more and more people continue to buy tickets.
If no ticket corresponds to the six numbers on Monday, the Jackpot Powerball will increase again as it goes to a 40th draw on Wednesday evening.
The longest Jackpot Powerball race concerned 42 consecutive drawings, which ended with a $ 1.326 billion victory for an Oregon player on April 6, 2024.
