The scandal on Jeffrey Epstein continues to disturb the Trump administration, and this week, another nightmare of public relations involving the dead pedophile exploded on the face of the White House. The fact that Pr Nightmare came from a surprising source: the right -wing provocateur James O’Keefe, who notably made his name with the far -right activist group Veritas.

In the past, Veritas was known to target liberal organizations and democrats, although, after a series of scandals, it is no longer active. O’Keefe is still in it and, in a surprising turn, he now seems to target the conservatives. This week, O’Keefe published a captured video with a hidden camera who claims to show a senior official of the Ministry of Justice discussed the Epstein case and claiming that the government will selectively reduce the files to change the responsibility of the Republicans to the Democrats.

Thursday, the current organization of O’Keefe, nicknamed O’Keefe Media Group, published a video involving Joseph Schnitt, a senior official of the Ministry of Justice. In the strongly published video, Schnitt seems to discuss Jeffrey Epstein’s files and seems to indicate that the government plans to politicize the future version of the files. “They will expel each republican or conservative person in these files, leave all the liberal and democratic people in these files and will make a very inclined version, it is” to see what is happening “without really seeing their bad behavior (of republicans)”, says Schnitt. The side of the woman’s conversation is only heard out of camera, and it is she who evokes Epstein files.

Later in the video, during a discussion on the co-conspirator of Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Schnitt can be heard: “She was transferred to a minimum security prison, recently, which is against the policy of BOP (prisons office) because it is a condemned sexual relaxation and is not supposed to obtain minimum security prisons, which is an interesting detail because it means that they offer to his mouth.

It should be noted that O’Keefe videos are often drained with context. In the past, we have described the Modus Operandi of Project Veritas as “a pantomime of investigation journalism, using secretly recorded videos and in a deceptive manner to dirty liberal groups, technological companies and perceived adversaries of the conservative movement.” That said, in this case, Schnitt’s comments seem somewhat simple, and obviously do not make the government very beautiful.

In an effort to dispel the immediate controversy of O’Keefe’s video, the Ministry of Justice has taken the very unusual stage (and, would say, certifically crazy) to publish what seems to be an iphone screen capture not published by Schnitt to Bondi. In doing so, the Doj seems to have done the work of journalists for them and confirmed a large part of what the organization of O’Keefe allegedly alleged the meeting of the infiltrated operation with Schnitt.

The details provided by the email illuminate some of the O’Keefe soup tactics. In the email, Schnitt says that in July, he met a woman on the hinge of the dating application which said that his name was “Skylar”. Skylar, who claimed to be a girl in Georgetown, made two dates with Schnitt in August. Schnitt admits that he identified himself as working for the government on his meeting profile. The email also identifies Schnitt as deputy deputy deputy chief of the special operations unit of the Ministry of Justice.

The email sent by Schnitt to Bondi concluded with a ramp warning that he knows nothing about Maxwell’s situation:

“The comments I made were my own personal comments on what I learned in the media and not to what I did or learned via work. I have no knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Ms. Maxwell other than what is reported in the news. I have never disclosed anything about what I do at work.

In an additional declaration published online, the DOJ’s public affairs office also decreased the secretly captured affirmations of Schnitt: “The comments of this video are absolutely not brought to reality and reflect a total lack of knowledge of the MJ examination process.

Here, the DoJ refers to a recent effort of the surveillance committee of the chamber controlled by the GOP to bring an additional light on the Epstein files.

Interestingly, this week, O’Keefe also organized an interview on YouTube with representative Thomas Massie (R-West Virginia), who was at the forefront of a growing war with the White House on Epstein files. Trump and his allies openly criticized Massie for months for having broken with the GOP line on politics, especially with One Big Bill Bill of Trump. In turn, Massie continually placed the Epstein problem, to the chagrin of the administration. “If you cannot bring the Republicans to worry about a minor sex traffic network with hundreds of victims, how are you going to take care of the budget?” Massie recently declared the problem. This week, the Congress member also organized a press conference in Washington, DC which involved the victims of Epstein. He is currently trying to obtain a vote on a bill which would oblige the Doj to publish additional files linked to Epstein, reported the Wall Street Journal.
