A technological worker from Silicon Valley was fatally killed by police this week after having allegedly stabbed a roommate.

Santa Clara police responded to a disruption call that quickly degenerated to a stab earlier this week. A police officer responding to the incident fatally killed the alleged striker.

The four men of the apartment were all “high -tech workers”, although the suspect was unemployed “for a year and a half”, the director of the property house claimed in an interview with local News KTVU. It is not yet clear for which technology company in the bay region for which the roommates worked.

The incident took place early in the morning in Eisenhower Drive Wednesday in the 1800 block in Santa Clara, California. The city is at the center of Silicon Valley, housing the head office of large technological companies like NVIDIA, AMD, Intel and ServiceNow.

The Coroner is still working to locate and inform the suspect’s next parent, so the name was selected on Friday, the head of the Santa Clara police department said on Friday afternoon, Corey Morgan.

The incident would not have been the first time that the police were sent to the residence. On August 12, the police were called to resolve a disruption on an air conditioning unit in the household between the same two men, KTVU reported. The director of the house would have started an expulsion process for the suspect after the August 12 incident, and the procedures ended last week.

What we know about the incident

Shortly after 6 am on Wednesday morning, Santa Clara police officer Robert Allsup answered a call at 911 of an apartment in the Santa Clara region.

“While the police responded to the location, they received information that the situation had increased and the suspect has now stabbed the victim,” Morgan told Press.

After opening the front door, the officer says he saw four people in the corridor, the suspect straddling the victim, pinning the body to the ground with a knife in hand, according to images of body cameras shared with the press during a briefing.

When the suspect raised the knife, the officer responded with four shots. Police said the suspect fell on the ground and was then transported to a local hospital where he was declared dead, said Santa Clara police.

The victim of stabs survived the attack and was treated for multiple wounds with a stab, the chest, the lung and the abdomen. Based on the declarations of the witnesses, the police said, the suspect used two knives in the assault.

The case is still under investigation.
