South Korea has just finished talks with the United States for the release of Korean workers detained in Georgia, a presidential official said on Sunday.

An aircraft will be about to bring back the Koreans once the administrative procedures are completed, said Kang Hun-Sik, head of presidential cabinet, in television remarks.

The American federal agents have carried out a raid in a manufacturing installation of Hyundai engines in Georgia this week in the largest operation to apply a single site in the history of survey operations of the Ministry of Internal Security.

The majority of hundreds of prisoners were Korean nationals.

South Korea has recently concluded a major trade agreement with the United States, which includes an American fund of $ 350 billion to help Korean companies enter the American market.

President Donald Trump could visit South Korea in October for the gathering of the economic cooperation event in Asia-Pacific, CNN reported on Saturday, citing three officials from the Trump administration.

The South Korean official said on Sunday that the government would seek means to improve the Korean workers’ visa system going to the United States to “prevent a similar incident”.
