“ The Muppet Show ‘obtains a 50th Disney + Special Birthday

After a pair of pilots made in 1974 and 1975, MUPPET show Officially hit the air in 1976 – which means that 2026 marks an important step for Kermit the frog and its friends. To celebrate the big 50th anniversary, Disney + will broadcast a unique special in the format much appreciated by the variety spectacle, with the pop star Sabrina Carpenter as a star shore.
In addition, the Hollywood Reporter writes that there is the potential for the special to transform itself into a “stolen door pilot” for a future MUPPET Show awakening.
There are heavy strikers behind the scenes, depending on the trade; Carpenter will not only appear in the show, she is also one of her executive producers. Another executive producer is Seth Rogen, although there is no word if he will join the distribution.
