The return of Kevin de Bruyne to Manchester City was interrupted after Giovanni Di Lorenzo was sent to the first half of the Champions League confrontation at Etihad.

De Bruyne, who joined the Italian giants this summer of the Cityzens, was chosen to start for the men of Antonio Conte while they were looking to upset the Premier League team.

But this fairy tale was abrupt when the great rear of Napoli di Lorenzo rushed to Erling Haaland outside his own box.

After initially awarded a yellow card, the referee was sent to the pitch instructor and improved his decision to a red.

This meant that Conte needed to mix her bag, and Bruyne was the unlucky man who had to make room for defender Mathias Oliviera.
