Keir Starmer says the United Kingdom recognizes the Palestinian state

The United Kingdom now officially recognizes a Palestinian state, said Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in a video press release.

Before the announcement, Canada became the first G7 nation to take the same step, followed by Australia.

Starmer said he maintained “alive the possibility of peace” and insisted that the United Kingdom “will continue to fight to” bring “Israeli hostages to the house.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel says that “recognition is nothing other than a reward for the jihadist of Hamas”.
