Liverpool Legend does not want the reds to spend 150 million pounds sterling for Isak and Ekitike signature issues

Jamie Carragher questioned Liverpool’s wisdom signing both Hugo Ekitike and, potentially, Alexander Isak this summer.

The Premier League champions spent 69 million pounds sterling to bring Ekitike to Anfield to Eintracht Francfurt, but remain interested in the Newcastle Isak striker.

The two men play mainly in the middle, although Ekitike can also play on the left.

And Carragher thinks it is surprising that Ekitike was signed for such a large quantity since it would be a backup if Liverpool reaches Isak de St James’ Park.

The old Liverpool center described its thoughts alongside Paul Scholes on overlap, then went to X to explain it more.

Having described his initial discomfort in Liverpool who may have spent 150 million pounds sterling for Isak, Carragher then declared that he was “like Un-Liverpool” to spend 69 million pounds sterling for a team player.

The Reds have seen an initial approach for Isak rejected by Newcastle and described the fact that they would not rush with an improved offer.

Isak should meet the boss of the Magpies, Eddie Howe, for the first time since jumping the club’s pre-season tour in the Far East. He then trained himself in the former Real Sociedad club in another indication of his dissatisfaction with regard to life in Tyneside.

In addition to Ekitike, Liverpool also signed Florian Wirtz this summer.

Darwin Nunez should however leave Anfield, with Al-Hilal concluding an agreement for the Uruguay International. Al-Hilal and Newcastle are both detained by the public Sadi Public Investment Fund, so it can be by stimulating the Liverpool transfer pot, they increase the chances of Isak which moves to Merseyside.
