Denmark airports have closed as mysterious drones spotted

Denmark is in advance after Mysterious Dones was spotted above four airports across the country on Wednesday and early Thursday. The country’s Minister of Defense described drone flights as part of a “hybrid attack” and they come after an incident similar to Copenhagen Airport on Tuesday. Although the Government of Denmark has not yet officially blamed Russia, the officials investigate this possibility.
“The objective of this type of hybrid attack is to spread fear, create a division and scare us,” said Denmark Minister of Denmark, Peter Hummelgaard, according to France 24, also referring to recent cyber attacks.
At least five Danish airports saw drones overnight, including at Aalborg and Billund airports, which had to close for hours, according to the BBC. The Skrydstrup air base, where at least one drone has also been spotted, is home to F-35 and F-16. Hunting jets.
Denmark told NATO allies that the “state actors” were behind the drone’s incursions, according to Reuters, but it is not clear if they have still identified Russia. Russia seems to act more daringly this year in the annoyance of the NATO allies, while the leaders of European nations speak with force of the current war in Ukraine.
Earlier this week, after the closure of Copenhagen airport, Russia suggested that drone observations were a false flag intended to trigger a war between Russia and NATO allies.
“Suspicions against Russia are not on the ground,” tweeted the Russian Embassy in Denmark. “The incident in the sky above Copenhagen airport reveals a clear desire to cause NATO countries in a direct military confrontation with Russia. It is unacceptable to look into this. ”
Other European countries have also experienced aircraft incursions in recent weeks, including Estonia, Norway and Romania. Poland shot down Russian drones on September 10, which prompted President Donald Trump to send a disturbing social media article declaring: “Let’s go!”
Three Russian fighter planes entered the Estonian airspace for 12 minutes last week in what the government called a “cheeky” foray, before Italian fighter air force F-35, deployed by NATO, signed Russian planes in international airspace.
President Trump promised to end the war between Russia and Ukraine even before he took office, but obviously failed to deliver. And it seems that Trump is impaired with President Vladimir Putin, who led him through his nose. Trump invited Putin for a very publicized meeting in Alaska, but that hasn’t changed anything on the dynamics. And Trump made a surprising remark earlier this week when she was at the United Nations, saying that Ukraine could resume all of his territory currently occupied by Russia. Trump even called Russia a “paper tiger”.
Trump’s comments seemed to surprise the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who was questioned about this about Fox News. The president was not too optimistic that Trump’s pivot would bring rapid resolution to war, saying: “It seems that it will not end long.”
Channel 4 of the United Kingdom reports that drones in Denmark must have been launched locally, “perhaps by sea”, although details on how drones were put in the air have not been officially published.
Why is Denmark targeted right now? The country is a member of NATO, of course, but it can also have something to do with a recent announcement that Denmark would buy long -range precision weapons capable of hitting Russia. Prime Minister Put Frederiksen described it as a “paradigm change in Danish defense policy” and specifically cited the invasion of Ukraine by Russia as the engine of the decision.
According to the New York Times, Russia described Denmark’s decision as “pure madness” and considered the plan to buy weapons as a manifest threat. “No one, nowhere, has never been planned to publicly threaten a nuclear power,” said Russia ambassador to Denmark Vladimir Barbin. “These statements will undoubtedly be taken into account.”
The Danish people are obviously concerned about what awaits us. DR, the national broadcaster of Denmark, currently has an article at the top of its home page entitled “How to talk to your child drones and hybrid attacks”. But all of Europe is shaken by the implicit threats of Russia, in the short term and in the long term.
The German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius warned a space conference in Berlin this week that the satellites of his country were shaded by the Russian satellites. Pistorius said that Germany had already been the target of the scrambling attacks and that it fears that it will give a threat to military communications.
