Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacked the recognition of a Palestinian state by several Western countries during a combative speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

Netanyahu described the recognition of “shame brand” which sent the message “The murdered Jews are paid”.

Dozens of officials and diplomats organized a walk while walking towards the podium, leaving large parts of the empty conference room. Outside, demonstrators against the War of Israel in Gaza gathered in Times Square.

Israel has undergone enormous international pressure on its military action in Gaza, culminating in the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Australia and other countries recognizing Palestine’s state this week.

In her opening remarks, Netanyahu posted a labeled card “the curse” He said showed Iranian proxy groups through the Middle East. He then underlined Israeli military operations in the past year against Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthis in Yemen, Hamas in Gaza and Iran.

He thanked US President Donald Trump for his American participation in the bombing of the Fordo nuclear site of Iran in June, and made parallels between the attack on October 7, 2023 of Hamas against Israel and the September 11 attack on the United States. He said the two countries were fighting the same enemies, pointing to “deaths in America” by groups linked to Iran.

The Israeli Prime Minister repeated that Israel would not allow a Palestinian state to exist and said that this position was supported by the vast majority of Israelis.

He then refuted the conclusion of a United Nations commission of inquiry according to which Israel had committed a genocide in Gaza, claiming that the accusation was “baseless”.

He also rejected the declarations of several United Nations agencies according to which Israel deliberately restricts the amount of aid entering Gaza. In August, a body supported by the UN confirmed that the famine took place in Gaza City.

Before his speech, the Netanyahu office ordered that the speakers of Israeli military Mont on trucks near the fence of the Gaza perimeter in order to disseminate its words live through the territory.

Netanyahu also said that Israeli intelligence had hacked people’s smartphones in Gaza and would directly broadcast his speech to them. BBC sources in Gaza said their phones had not been assigned.

He said that the intention was that a message will achieve Israeli hostages there.

“Our courageous heroes,” he read on the podium. “It is Prime Minister Netanyahu who speaks to you live from the United Nations. We have not forgotten you, not even a second. The inhabitants of Israel are with you. We will not vacillate, and we will not rest as long as we bring you all home.”

There are 48 hostages in Gaza, 20 of which are considered alive.

The Gaza resident FADI said on the BBC World Service OS program: “What does he win by spreading his strength discourse to besieged civilians inside the tents, except to humiliate them more?”

Netanyahu devoted this last section of his speech to the regional neighbors of Israel, saying that he was close to an de -escalation agreement with Syria and called on the Lebanese government to set up his efforts to disarm Hezbollah.

He was immediately criticized in Israel, with the opposition chief, Yair Lapid, “today saw an Israeli and moaning Israeli Prime Minister in an overloaded speech of overumed gadgets”

“Instead of arresting diplomatic tsunami-Netanyahu has today worsened the state of the state of Israel,” he wrote on X.

Yair Golan, leader of the Israeli Democratic Party, said that speech showed “only the victim, biting and complete blindness to the suffering of hostages and the sacrifice of the combatants”.

He labeled the speaker stuntman “Invalide, childish and mad”, saying that it was “the propaganda show”.

One day earlier, the head of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas said in his speech to the General Assembly that he was ready to work with the world leaders to implement a peace plan for Israel and the Palestinians.

Shortly after Netanyahu finished speaking, Donald Trump said journalists separately: “I think we have an agreement on Gaza”. It has not provided more details, although speculation has shown that a cease-fire agreement could be close.

International journalists have been prohibited by Israel from entering the Gaza Strip since the start of the war almost two years ago, which makes the assertions on both sides difficult. Some journalists were taken to Gaza by the FDI under controlled access.

The Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the attack by Hamas against southern Israel on October 7, 2023, during which around 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage.

At least 65,549 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since then, according to the Hamas Ministry of Hamas in the territory.
