The “Stranger Things” brothers tease their primordial plans

2025 will end with the end of Foreign things, After which the creators Matt and Ross Duffer will be in Paramount. While the pair is on the knee in setting up the final touch of their Netflix stroke, they talked about what will happen once they are exclusive to the Mission: Impossible And Transformers studio.
Regarding cinema, the brothers intend to focus on original things, but they also told Variety that this would not bother to tackle a known property belonging to Paramount. However, they stressed that any intellectual property they took should be those to which they “really answered”, not just something popular or that would make a good title. They did not offer more details in terms of criteria, but Matt spoke of “sloppy” properties where “someone swung and missed, (and) you then have the opportunity to do it correctly”.
When they do not attack films, the Duffers hope to find and promote new talents, similar to what Shawn Levy did for them by supporting Foreign things. However, they don’t want to become as big as Bad Robot, so they will simply focus on “identifying truly talented people and then helping them to make their vision and then stay away”.
As for the Duffers television companies, they intend to repeat what they did with Foreign things And make event shows in the range of eight to 10 episodes. The shows with seasons of 20 or more episodes are “tiring,” said Matt, and no brother has grown a fan of this model. But they want to continue to make shows with shorter seasons and a model “when it is done”, Matt calling for the traditional way “a decreasing yield. I like accumulation ”. Brother Matt also admitted that it is strange that the two even ended up on television to start when they grew up on films and are not really fans of television – but hey, look forward to the last round of Foreign things Episodes from November 26.
