The Citi Field Casino in New York becomes fourth proposal to take the next step

The owner of the dishes, Steve Cohen, and the proposed casino of Hard Rock to the Citi Field in Queens advanced at the last stage of the license process.
This leads to the total number of New York Casino proposals at this stage up to four, having all received approvals from their respective community council committees. In addition to the location of Citi Field, the others at this stage are Group Group’s Resorts World New York City, MGM Empire City of MGM Resorts and the Ballly Bronx Casino.
The Citi Field proposal has won the support of an American senator, John Liu seeing the potential in the $ 8 billion project that would see a casino built next to Citi Field. The involved space currently represents 50 empty parking acres which would be transformed via the project funded by the private people in space called Metropolitan Park.
The plan is to have 25 acres of new public parks spaces, as well as a Queens food room, a hard rock hotel and a casino with bars, restaurants and a sports book. It is estimated that the proposal would generate approximately 23,000 local jobs, with a view to entering with the local community of Queens.
The way to a New York casino license
The other proposals that have been officially rejected include proposals concerning the CONEY, Mohegan, Caesars and Rush Street games. Although there are four proposals left, only three casino licenses remain to be submitted, with a decision expected by December 1.
In the current state of things, Genting and MGM were considered the most likely to be planned, with infrastructure already in place with the existing Racinos for both. This still leaves another place to win, of course, but the long decision -making process on the future of New York casinos is finally coming to an end.
