The tilting of Norsk slapped with another fine after a lottery drawing error -

The game operator Norsk Tipping was slapped with another fine for the errors made in the draw of the Norwegian lottery.

Norsk’s tilting faces its second fine for its supervising lottery errors (Superdraw), now amounting to 25 million kroner (USD 2.5 million). This follows a previous fine of 46 million kroner ($ 4.5 million) after an error was found which saw 52 incorrect winners to win prices worth 1 million kroner ($ 100,000) during a draw of Easter earlier this year.

The Superdraw takes place four times a year. Before Easter’s draw on April 19, Norsk’s tilting deleted those who had submitted entries for Christmas and New Years. Lotsttif planned to draw the draw after suspected this error, but the draw took place under the assurance of Norsk to do so that it would be carried out correctly. Even after the draw, Norsk Tipping argued that everything had been done correctly, but Lotstift later investigated and found the opposite.

What is the next step for Norsk’s tilting?

The game operator now has three weeks to comment before a final decision was made on the fine. He erodes the confidence of the public and industry in the brand, after a series of errors tormented the company throughout the year.

Norsk’s tilting was at the center of a regulatory survey earlier this year, which led to a fine and for the former CEO not to withdraw from this role.

“All these cases make it crucial that Norsk’s switch sharpens its routines, its controls and the quality of what it does,” said Bell. “Therefore, we announced a larger inspection this fall where we will examine Lotto, Eurojackpot and Vikingotto.”
