It is time for some frightening streaming selections. In recent years, our monthly column, The Nerd’s Watch, has been the perfect place to discover all the best gender titles with the greatest streaming services. It was not a complete list. We have just published the titles we think you would care about, but it was still long, and frankly, it was difficult to choose the best of the best.

Well, in recent months, it has changed. The following is not a list of all the best things streaming on all major streaming services. We have examined all these lists and propose a few dozen titles which, in our view, are remarkable this month. Some are new, some are old, but anyway, we will tell you why you should worry about it. Or at least joke about it.

So sit down, take your remote control and prepare yourself for the update and rationalized Nerd watch, highlighting the best films and upcoming shows at Streamers this month.

GOONIES (October 1 on Netflix)

THE Shout Trilogy (October 1 on Hulu, Paramount Plus and Peacock)

What is your favorite scary film? Is it Shout, scream 2 or shout 3? If this is the case, you are lucky, because the three arrive on several streamers this month.

The cabin in the woods (October 16 on Hulu and Peacock)

Several Friday 13 Films (October 1 on various)

It’s a bit confusing, but Jason Voorhees also broadcasts this month. Peacock obtains the first three films: Friday 13, Friday 13 – PART II and Friday 13 – PART III, While Hulu obtains the 2009 very underestimated restart. Everything is worth watching.

And speaking of staples of the genre, the original of William Friedkin Exorcist is on the Mont Rushmore horror. So, if you want to watch a real classic of all time this Halloween season, look no further.

Bring it back (October 3 on HBO Max)

They are classics, but what about new blood? This outing in 2025 of the team behind Talk to me (Streaming also on HBO Max this month) is one of the most heartbreaking horror films, the most difficult to watch but strangely satisfactory. She is a woman who welcomes children with foster family, let’s just say, not the best reasons.

The substance (October 10 on HBO Max)

Horror films are generally not nominated for Oscars, and even less win them. But horror movies are generally not The substance, The incredible cinema of Demi Moore-Margaret Qualley on an aging star who takes a dangerous substance to invigorate his youth.

V / H / S / Halloween (October 3 on thrill)
