James Gunn says the new Batman should be here before 2031

The new DC universe left quickly. We have Peacemaker jump through the dimensions, Superman save the metropolis, and Supergirl,, ClayAnd more green lanterns on the way. But the only thing most fans are waiting for is that Batman and James Gunn recently offered a very large update at the moment when the Caped Crusader could happen.

On the sons, a fan asked the president of DC Studios if he thinks that the new DC Batman film will be released until 2030 or 2031, to which Gunn simply replied “no”

Of course, there are a lot of factors that add to this answer, so let’s try to break them all. Gunn and his DC Studios partner, Peter Safran, announced that they would make a Batman film, probably titled The courageous and the fatWhen they resumed DC for the first time a few years ago. Meanwhile, Gunn has offered several updates on the project, mainly focused on not wanting to rush into the film with a script which he thinks of worth being done. So, in recent years, this script has been in preparation, it probably improves every day.

In particular, however, East A Batman film from DC in the near future. It is Batman: Part IIFollowed by Matt Reeves to his success in 2022 with Robert Pattinson. This film, as well as its fallout as The penguinexists in another universe. Batman de Pattinson is not the Courageous and daring Batman who can probably team up with David Corenswet’s Superman or John Cena’s peacemaker.

The film by Reeves, however, has a release date on October 1, 2027 (two years from yesterday!). So you can imagine that DC and Warner Bros. would not want to release two Batman films too close to each other. If Reeves’ film arrives in 2027 and Gunn thinks that their film will be before 2030 or 2031, you should think that 2029 is the goal at the moment. Give fans for a year from Batman on the big screen, then bring the new one.

Of course, it’s all speculation. Gunn said several times before not rushing the film, but he thinks a lot about it. Batman is too important not only for DC, but also for Warner Bros. When it happens, if it happens, it will be right. But this will probably occur before the year completely to the sound of 2031.
