It was almost 50 years ago, and to celebrate, DC and Marvel are there again.

The giants of comics had just announced that in March 2026, DC will publish Superman / Spider-Man # 1, who will be followed in April by Marvel Comics Publishing SPider-Man / Superman # 1. The original comic strip series told the story of Superman and Spider-Man, at the beginning, to fight, but finally associate to fight the combined forces of Lex Luthor and Doc Ock. There was no real explanation on how and why New York and Metropolis became only one, and no explanation in the way or why Superman and Spider-Man exist in the same universe. These are only the two characters, in the same city, and the story started from there.

It will be interesting to see if our more modern need for exhibitions and explanators offers a more elegant way to merge the steel man and the webslinger. But, anyway, it will be fun to see how some of the best minds in today’s comics work both in a single story. And who knows? Maybe this will open the way to a high screen test one day. Dare to dream.
