Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said his team “would take stock” after Patrick Roberts composed the shot 20 seconds after the half to have earned Birmingham a draw in the Championship at Stok Cae Ras.

The Soundland winger on the accommodation, Roberts, collected the pass of Jay Stansfield inside the box and sent a diagonal finish under goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo for the old Premier League, which was late when Max Cleworth’s head in a corner was thrown by George Dobson in the 13th minute.

“It was a difficult week for us, in terms of (playing) Derby, Leicester and Birmingham,” said Parkinson at Sky Sports Football.

“The guys really gave us everything and there is a lot of quality to discuss, in difficult conditions (of play).

“We will take stock. It is frustrating not to take the three but Birmingham is a good team. We were confident at halftime, but these are (roughly) moments, right?

“The goal came out of nothing. We tried to answer, but I thought we looked in the long legs and that we lack sparks to answer.”
