Upon his return to action for a month since the US Open, Novak Djokovic fought Marin Cilic (7-6, 6-4) to reach the third round of the Masters of Shanghai. With a combined age of 75 (38 and 37 respectively), the two veterans played the oldest match in the history of Masters tournaments.
