Born again “ almost had an Echo / Punisher team

The first season of Daredevil: born again was partially built on the bones of an old version. An idea that has not survived change? Apparently, a unique episode focused on Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Echo (Alaqua Cox).

In a recent interview with IGN, the writer Jesse Wigutow – who wrote two of the nine episodes of the ONE season – made an “bottle episode” which was planned with Frank and Maya that he would have written. When this was concept “two, three years ago”, the two anti-heroes would have “shared an interesting night together. Not romantically, but narratively, Wigutow said. He conceded that he could resurface in Again born Future, but has described its “twisted” original development and said it could require a slight recovery.

While Echo is a more recent McU addition and had only one blow with Daredevil, she and Punisher dragged could be fun. The closest thing Again born Had a single-off was his bank bench halfway through the season, which generally seemed to be loved this season. If the program has space for bottles of bottles that can highlight its street heroes who do not have time or space for a full spin-off, it’s a good way to work in the system.

As for Punisher, he has a solo special that will make him do what he does best. This must be planned in 2026, probably before Daredevil: born again Back for season two. And some time later, we will have more matt and anyone else in season three.
