Pets of the world

Dogs, cats, turtles and even a rooster were blessed on October 4, for celebrations to mark the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Churches around the world each year have special services for the honor of the patron saint of animals, and many parishioners bring their pets and their cattle.
