Syria to select members of the first post-Assad parliament in indirect vote
Syrian voters will select the members of its first post-Assad Parliament on Sunday in a process criticized as an undemocratic, with a third of the members appointed by the interim leader Ahmed Al-Sharaa. According to the organizing committee, more than 1,500 candidates – only 14% of them, appear at the Assembly, who will have a renewable mandate of 30 months.
