Gaza Flotilla activists allege ill -treatment when he was detained in Israel

Some activists detained by trying to reach Gaza by sea returned to their country of origin to describe the ill -treatment in the hands of the Israeli guards, allegations that Israel denies.
Some 450 activists have been arrested while Israeli forces intercepted Flotilla Global Sumud, a fleet of 42 boats seeking to break the Naval Blush of Gaza of Israel and to provide symbolic aid to the territory struck by famine. The people detained between Wednesday and Friday were brought to Israel, where many remain in prison.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel said it had offered a voluntary expulsion to all activists and those who remain in detention have chosen to stay there to go through a process of legal expulsion.
Upon his return to Rome Fiumicino Airport on Saturday evening, Italian journalist Saverio Tommasi said that Israeli soldiers had hidden drugs and treated prisoners “like monkeys.”
The ministry has described the allegations of “cheeky lies” ill -treatment.
Among the detained people were the Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, the grandson of Nelson Mandela Mandla Mandela and several European legislators.

Tommasi said Thunberg had been distinguished by Israeli forces after being arrested.
“We have also seen Greta Thunberg at the port, in this case with her equal arms and an Israeli flag next to her, just a mockery,” he said. “Let’s say that mockery was part of the verbal and psychological violence they have always achieved, in order to demean, ridicule and laugh in situations where there is nothing to laugh.”
In a press release on social networks, the ministry said that all the legal rights of all detainees had been “fully confirmed”, adding that Thunberg had not complained of “ridiculous and baseless allegations – because they never occurred”.
The interception of the flotilla came while US President Donald Trump tried to negotiate a new cease-fire initiative in Gaza, when he ordered Israel to stop bombing the enclave. Israel said he had accepted Trump’s proposal and Hamas said he accepted certain aspects. Negotiators are expected in Cairo on Monday.
Another Italian journalist, Lorenzo d’Agostino, said the prisoners had been awakened several times during the two nights he spent behind bars. They were also intimidated with dogs and soldiers pointing the laser targeting of their weapons to prisoners, “he said after landing at Istanbul airport, where 137 militants from 13 countries arrived from Israel on Saturday.
D’Agostino also said that his personal effects and money had been “stolen by the Israelis”.
The activist Paolo de Montis described to be piled up in a prison van for hours, hands secured by zip links.
“Constant stress and humiliation,” he said. “You were not allowed to look at them in the face, I always had to keep my head down, and when I looked up, a man … came and shook me and slapped me at the back of the head. They forced us to stay on our knees for four hours.”
Ben-Gvir calls those who in “terrorists” of the flotilla
In a statement, Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, said that he was “proud” of how the staff behaved in Ketziot prison, an establishment in the Negev desert.
“I was proud to treat” flotilla “activists” as terrorism supporters. Whoever supports terrorism is a terrorist and deserves the conditions of terrorists, “he said.
“If one of them thought they would come here and receive a red carpet and trumpets – they were wrong. They should have a good idea of the conditions of Ketziot prison and think twice before they approach Israel.”
Israeli forces have intercepted dozens of ships belonging to Flatilla Global Sumud (GSF) carrying foreign activists and humanitarian aid to Gaza, the fleeting organizers announced on Thursday. This is the last attempt to break an Israeli blockade and to deliver supplies to the Palestinian territory torn by the war.
The arrests have led to criticism from several governments, notably Turkey, Colombia and Pakistan. Greece, which had 27 of its nationals in police custody, published a “strong written protest” against Israel on the “unacceptable and inappropriate behavior of an Israeli minister”.
It is believed that the complaint refers to Ben-Gvir images has reprimanded activists for supporting “terrorism” and making fun of their help initiative after being brought to the southern port of Ashdod on Friday.
The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it had “acted intensively to ensure that the rights of the Swedish detained were observed”.
The interception of the flotilla has also led to large -scale demonstrations in the cities of the world.
