“Houston, we had a problem,” says Jim Lovell

Jim Lovell, one of the astronauts who helped guide the Apollo 13 mission in complete safety in 1970, died at the age of 97.
The attempt to land on the moon was interrupted due to an explosion aboard the spacecraft when it was hundreds of kilometers from the earth.
“Houston, we had a problem,” said Lovell at the time to an amazed mission check. It was something for an understatement.
Tens of millions have watched on television like Lovell and two other astronauts went back to the Pacific Ocean, a moment which has become one of the most emblematic in the history of space trip.
