First lady Melania Trump threatened to continue Hunter Biden for more than $ 1 billion after saying that she had been presented to her husband by sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The lawyers acting on behalf of the First Lady, who married US President Donald Trump in 2005, described the complaint as “false, derogatory, defamatory and inflammatory”.

Biden, son of former American president Joe Biden, made these comments during an interview earlier this month, in which he firmly criticized the president’s former ties with Epstein.

Donald Trump was a friend of Epstein, but said that the couple had fallen in the early 2000s because the financier poached employees who worked at the Florida Golf Club of Trump.

A letter from Lawyers from the First Lady and addressed to a lawyer for Hunter Biden asks that he withdraw the complaint and apologizes, or faces legal action for “more than $ 1 billion in damages”.

He indicates that the First Lady underwent “financial and crushing reputation damage” because of the complaint he repeated.

He also accuses Biden’s youngest son of having a “vast story of negotiations on the names of others”, and of repeating the claim “to draw attention to yourself”.

During a large interview with filmmaker Andrew Callaghan published earlier this month, Hunter Biden said that unpublished documents relating to Epstein “would imply” President Trump.

He said: “Epstein presented Melania to Trump – the connections are so wide and deep.” The legal letter from the First Lady notes that the complaint was partially allocated to Michael Wolff, a journalist who is the author of a critical biography of the president.

In a recent interview with Us Outlet The Daily Beast, Wolff said that the first lady was known to an Epstein and Trump partner when she met her husband.

The point of sale then retracted history after receiving a letter from the lawyer for the first lady who challenged the content and framing of history.

There is no evidence that the pair appeared to each other by Epstein, who took his own life while waiting for the trial in 2019.

In the legal letter from the First Lady, Hunter Biden is accused of relying on an article since remunerated as the basis of her claims, which he describes as “false and defamatory”.

A message on the archived version of online history Daily Beast reads

“After examining the case, the beast eliminated the article and apologizes for any confusion or misunderstanding.”

Asked about the legal threat, the lawyer for the first lady, Alejandro Brito, referred the news of the BBC to a declaration published by her assistant, Nick Clemens.

He said: “The lawyers for First Lady Melania Trump actively assure the retractions and immediate apology of those who have spread malicious and defamatory lies.”

A January 2016 profile of Harper’s Bazaar reported that the First Lady met her husband in November 1998, during a party organized by the founder of a modeling agency.

Melania Trump, 55, told the publication that she had refused to give her her phone number because he was “with a date”.

The profile said Trump had recently separated from his second wife, Marla Maples, whom he divorced in 1999. He was previously married to Ivana Trump between 1977 and 1990.

The BBC contacted Hunter Biden’s lawyer.

The legal letter comes after weeks of pressure on the White House to disclose the so-called Epstein files, previously unknown documents relating to the criminal investigation against the condemned pedophile.

Before being re -elected, Trump said he would publish the files if he was back, but the FBI and the Ministry of Justice said in July that no list of “incriminating” customers from Epstein Associates existed.
