The sister of the North Korean leader Kim Jong One refuted the claims of South Korea according to which Pyongyang withdrew part of his propaganda speakers.

North Korea has “never deleted” the speakers and “are not willing to remove them,” Kim Yo Jong on a statement published by State Media Kcna said on Thursday.

“We have said on several occasions that we have no desire to improve relations (South Korea),” she said, adding that this position “will be fixed in our Constitution in the future”.

South Korea soldiers declared earlier this week that North Korea had removed some of its speakers along the border – a few days after South Korea dismantled part of his.

Kim, assistant director of the North Korea propaganda department, said Seoul’s claim was “unilateral unfounded assumption and a red herring”.

In addition to propaganda messages, South Korea emissions have often exploded K-POP songs through the border. While North Korea has played disturbing noises such as screaming animals.

The South Korean residents living near the border had complained that their lives were disturbed by the noise on both sides, sometimes in the middle of the night.

Pyongyang considers that the propaganda of Seoul spreads an act of war and threatened to explode the speakers in the past.

South Korea speakers’ programs resumed in June 2024 after a six -year break under the direction of the president dismissed Yoon Suk Yeol who took a harder position against the North.

They were restarted after Pyongyang began to send balls filled with waste to the south in response to increased tensions.

The relationship seemed to have thawed under the new President Lee Jae Myung, who campaigned on improving intercreen links.

South Korea interrupted its programs along the demilitarized zone shortly after Lee took office in June, in what the country’s army described as an attempt to “restore confidence” and “achieve peace in the Korean peninsula”.

However, the links between the two neighbors remain uncomfortable. Earlier this week, North Korea warned against the “resolved counter-action” for provocations before joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States.
