The AI-Ai compatible iPad on a robot arm can interrupt your conversations (positively)

Of course, the deployment of Siri improved by Apple has turned into a massive snafu which gave the giant of Cupertino technology a rare eye to black butter, but society will not yet leave Apple’s intelligence. The latest reports suggest that Apple will try to sell consumers on home robots who will arrive over the next two years, as well as a version of his AI assistant who has a face and a “personality”. If the rumors are true, the company will not preclude AI in a ball in the shape of a ball that users will not trip, but will put it on your table in the form of a robot arm with a screen. This, and more Apple Smart Home products, should be launched over the next two years.
This robot, that my brain of technology cannot stop qualifying “Apple Intelligence on a stick”, it would be able to interact with users on a more personal basis. We have already heard of this supposed robotics project at home, but Mark Gurman, Bloomberg star, wrote Wednesday that Apple wanted to give the bot the opportunity to intervene in conversations as if it were an active participant. The iPad Mini screen at the end of an extended robot arm could show a caricatural face that would be Siri’s most personified version to date. Apple would have tested two versions of Siri’s virtual identity. One is an animated version of the classic Finder logo on Mac. Another looks like a Memoji. I hope desperately that Apple opts for the first.
If you try to imagine this AI in action, think less of the Samantha AI of the 2013 film Her And imagine the Luxo Jr. mascot of Pixar Studios. This AI could be fun, clumsy and perhaps even a little shy. Apple showed how this AI would work in a research document he published in January. The Ai Framework prototype, which Apple called Elegnt, can follow user controls and movements, but it can interact in a more subtle way which makes it much more sympathetic. Instead of telling you squarely the weather forecast on the command, the bot can look out the window, look back, then say the weather is nice with a chance of rain.

As fun as it may seem, what matters most, it is if it is as functional as selecting an application on a screen. Incalthatic at home like Alexa + from Amazon took place slowly in recent months. Amazon’s first Chatbot at home chatbot noted that it can hold a conversation, but it is still not good enough to recognize a specific context for your requests. Apple would always have drawings on humanoid robots, or at least something that will drive on wheels as likes of TCL or Ballie de Samsung. These are only prototypes, but we will more likely see more Apple Smart Home products, such as a doorbell and other home safety devices.
Gurman’s slate of anonymous sources suggests that Apple Intelligence on a stick can arrive in 2027, although we will get a more moderate version which is closer to an intelligent speaker with a screen before that. This device looks like a homepod version of an echo point or a nest google hub, although this device is mounted on the wall. He will not have conversational Siri, but he will have access to taking note, video calls and intelligent house controls via all usual rescue applications such as Calendar, Facetime and Apple Music. All this could work in a new operating system which is currently named charismatic.
None of these efforts for robotics will be important if Apple can not put his house in order, and it starts with Apple Intelligence and Siri. Apple would have always planned to launch what is nicknamed internally like “LLM Siri”, according to Gurman. This voice assistant can be available by the spring of next year, although we have been previously burned on dates for Apple’s previous AI deployments. This new version can include another visual overhaul to help us forget the first time that Apple has tried to give Siri a makeover in AI. Whether Apple opts for internal models or external LLMS like the Claude d’Anthropic, we will first have to face the infected AI our smartphones before fighting the robotic arms compatible with AI.
