Royals and veterans Mark VJ day 80 years

The King and the Queen led a two -minute silence in a service in the Staffordshire to commemorate 80 years since the day of VJ.

Among the participants, there were veterans, some of whom participated in the ceremony by placing crowns and giving readings.

VJ day, or victory over Japan Day, is marked every year on August 15 – the date of 1945 when Japan went to the Allied forces and the Second World War ended.
