Kansspelautorite is increasing the surveillance of the database in the Netherlands

Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has confirmed that it would increase monitoring of the control database (CDB) for license operators.
The Netherlands Authority for Game has described the requirement of complete, precise and robust data available if necessary, as part of its surveillance delivery under the Game Act.
This work implies continuous monitoring, and the CDB is a crucial tool which allows the Kansspelautorite to understand what play activity takes place with each operator and to ensure compliance with various regulations.
In the Netherlands, the law on the game covers all the activities of Paris, in person and online, with other expectations issued on the protections and licenses of the players.
Recent work undertaken by KSA has used the CDB to carry out automated checks on all game licensees, but this has revealed at least a potential failure for each operator.
KSA has strongly warned companies that precise, timely and compliant data in the CDB is a legal requirement, as part of their license. Operators must ensure that this information is as complete as possible, at any time, with corrections to be made immediately, as soon as necessary.
The KSA has suggested that it would make follow -up checks on operators, with inspections that will take place in the next quarter to ensure that the gaps have been discussed, which will also confirm the accuracy of the information held in the CDB.
Increased controls of approved operators in the Netherlands
The emphasis on the precise data of operators kept in the CDB is similar to other international efforts to improve the monitoring and visibility of data, as in the understanding of Ireland-Gibraltar.
The memorandum of understanding is a shared commitment to promote reliable data to support the regulations for application and granting licenses, as well as to strengthen collaboration beyond borders.
In the Netherlands, Kansspelautorite has continued to play its surveillance role in a strict and in-depth manner. Regular warnings and application measures are carried out, as it occurred before the CDB guidelines, with reprimanded Tonybet for having offered Paris Football Markets.
Starcasino and Zebet were also struck by warnings on temporary withdrawal problems, in another example of KSA actions on the application of surveillance and compliance requirements.
