Online bingo players say that glitch benefits spread beyond the gala

The UK players demand answers after a “technical problem” on Gala Bingo left hundreds of people thinking that they had won thousands, to have their earnings canceled.
Addressing Readwrite, customers say that scandal extends wider than the gala, involving other well -known brands, including Foxy Bingo and Ladbrokes, which are all under the same parent company.

On August 4, the promotion of the Gala Summer Nights Bingo worked mischievous, making accounts wrongly with prices above the announced jackpot of £ 150. For almost two hours, the players were congratulated by cat hosts, said “enjoying their winnings” and, in some cases, even managed to withdraw funds. The screenshots show inflated balances with payments between £ 40 and £ 2,400, a shared pot seeming to reach 1.6 million sterling pounds.

A woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “Some of the players that evening won and bank gains … and they were told that they could keep their earnings to be loyal customers. The story concerns players who have been refused their earnings or have gained gains in their bank accounts, and have been disputed and recorded for asking questions. ”
She added that some players had even endured unrealized “well-being checks” of the Gala staff, who, according to them, were not trained, or unexpected police and ambulances after pleading.

She described her own sorrow: “It was the greatest victory I have ever had. I always said that one day I will win big … and I thought that night was. But after questioning the gala, she said that she was prohibited for five years and only offered a bingo bonus of £ 20 as” compensation “.

“ Not just Gala ”: Bingo players indicate wider problems on the Entine brands
Nikki Douthwaite, 48, from Edenbridge, Kent, was another player caught in fiasco. She said to us: “They made disgusting (things) in the way they treat people. Some people have been paid and some people have not done so, and we all have proofs – a lot.”
Nikki said she managed to withdraw £ 500 before her account was frozen. His mother withdrew £ 200, while other members of the community lost much more: “Someone else has £ 7,000, someone has nothing. How is it just in your terms and conditions? Either there is a problem where there is none. “

She pointed out that the problem is “not just the gala”. “It’s also Foxy. It’s a whole part of their chain … Gala, Foxy, all are under LC International Limited,” said Nikki. “I could say that Ladbrokes is another. It’s bigger than that. “
Readwrite saw screenshots suggesting that a similar problem has occurred on ladbrokes and contacted entaining for clarification.

LC International Limited is the processing name of payments used by ENTAIN PLC. Players would generally see this on their bank statements when filing or withdrawing funds, and it covers several game brands, including the Bingo Gala, the Bingo Foxy, the Ladbrokes and the Coral Casino.

However, some players said they have permanently suspended or blocked accounts. “I have been banned for five years,” said Nikki. Others have said that complaint attempts have been greeted by gaming limit restrictions or intrusive calls for their “mental health” of unskilled personnel.
For many, the benefits caused more than financial damage. Nikki admitted: “For me, £ 4,000 would have been a dream of posting my father. It would have been incredible to say that I had finally reimbursed him. Instead, I feel very disappointed.”
More than 160 people have now joined a Facebook group entitled “Justice for Gala victims”. Some are preparing for legal action, while others call on the game commission to audit operators more closely.
The players say that their confidence in the online bingo has been broken. The anonymous winner has undoubtedly said: “I will never play on the gala again. They broke my confidence.”
Nikki added: “Until they have a system in place that works for everyone … I would not trust them. Finishly, stop playing with them.”
The game committee confirmed that it was investigating Gala Bingo, but said that it could not comment more if other brands were involved. Gala’s mother company, Entain, which also owns Ladbrokes and Foxy Bingo, has only arisen for a “technical error” and has indicated its terms and conditions, that state gains can be canceled in the event of dysfunction.
But for many, these explanations sound hollow. As Nikki said, “You cannot have a rule for one and one for the other. Pay everyone or do not pay anyone – but do not choose and do not choose.” Entain recently pointed out its half -yearly financial report, seeing a 7% increase in annual shift, reaching 2.63 billion pounds sterling.
Readwrite contacted Entain to comment.
