Let’s start with the official description of the film:
In this captivating thriller, a very united family is caught in the turmoil of a controversial rising movement known as “change”. Ellen and Paul (Diane Lane and Kyle Chandler) witness their lives to collapse when the former student of Ellen Liz (Phoebe Dynevor) reappears and begins to go out with their son (Dylan O’Brien). While Liz is part of the Taylor family, tensions are increasing and loyalty is tested. The role of Liz in “The Change” puts on the surface of conflicts that shake, unraveling the fabric of the family as well as the nation itself stands on the edge for a period of alarming and stimulating uncertainty.
It is therefore the configuration, and we see clues of this towards the end of the trailer, the different American flags being the biggest call. We wonder, is it more a religious movement or a political movement? To what extent is it widespread? Is there an opposition? In addition, what exactly does “change” mean? All these questions really make us want to sit down and watch this film, so mission accomplished, trailer publisher.
