Texas legislators have approved new Congress cards to give Republicans an advantage in next year elections for the House of Representatives of the United States.

After a two -week confrontation, where the Democrats fled the state to block the vote and come together against the redistribution plans, the Republicans of the Chamber of Representatives of Texas adopted the new lines of vote during a vote of 88 to 52.

The cards will now go to the Texas Senate, where they should be quickly approved.

The new cards are intended to give the Republicans five seats currently held by the Democrats and to consolidate the majority of the American houses of the party. However, the States led by Democrats pushed to redraw their cards to compensate for these gains.

President Donald Trump supported the cards to protect a republican majority in the American House, when the legislators in the congress will be again on the ballot in 2026.

The vote followed a dramatic impasse, where the Democrats of the States fled the State to interrupt the new cards to be voted.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has published arrest mandates against members of the group who fled and that several Democrats said that the police had watched their homes.

These legislators returned this week, saying that they thought that their stalling contributed to arouse generalized awareness of the redistribution plans and made their own plans think to counter the Republicans.
