Canadian striker Jonathan David marks Juventus’s beginnings in the opening of the victorious season

Canada striker Jonathan David scored in his start of Serie A to put Juventus on the way to a 2-0 victory against Parma in his season’s opening match.
David joined Juventus in July on a free transfer after the expiration of his five -year contract in Lille.
Juventus finished the match with 10 men after Andrea Cambaso was sent seven minutes of time, but the replacement Dusan Vlahovic doubled Bianconeri’s advances a few moments later.
“That’s all I hoped,” said David, who received a standing ovation when he was replaced by Vlahovic in the 80th minute. “It was the first game of the season and the fans brought an incredible atmosphere and you could feel them pushing us forward.
“I am happy to score in my first game, but the most important is the three points.”
David is also the top scorer in Canada with 36 goals in 67 appearances.
“The goal is to help the team as much as possible,” said David. “If it is by scoring goals, obtaining assists, running, defending, I will do everything.”
