“ 100 nights of heroes ” teases a medieval fantasy cheeky

Released in 2016, Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel The hundred nights of heroes won a devoted audience for his full -minded turn Arab nightsImagining a married woman and his beloved maid turning to the power of the narration to protect the woman from her husband’s scary bet. Now, the story arrives on the big screen with a distribution of the stars – and today’s teaser gives us our first overview of its world inspired by medieval folklore.

As the trailer shows, Deadpool and Wolverine‘S Emma Corrin (like the maid, hero), Long‘Maika Monroe (as a wife, Cherry), and Masters of the universeNicholas Galitzine (as a determined pretender of the woman) directs a casting which also includes Amir Al-Masry, Charlie XCX, Richard E. Grant and Felicity Jones.

Here is the official synopsis: “When her husband neglect leaves after having placed a secret bet to test his fidelity, Cherry (Monroe) and his maid with a lively spirit, Hero (Corrin), must repel a dangerously attractive visitor: Manfred (Galitzine).”

There are almost vibrations of Yorgos Lanthimos in the mixture of adjustment of the period, fantasy and what looks like a sense of offbeat and modern humor; The costumes are also spectacular. It is not clear to this first teaser if the film will come up against the narration apparatus of the novel, but you must imagine some of the characters that we see for a moment (Felicity Jones in a long silver wig; Charlie XCX, scratching a very unusual guitar) can be characters in carefully crafted tales of Hero.
