Earlier this year, the Trump administration raised the eyebrows and inspired mockery when he announced that she wanted to buy Greenland. Since then, the government has ignored laughter and has continued to pursue its declared objective. Now, a new Danish media report alleys that several Americans with direct ties with Trump have been engaged in secret “influence operations” intended for the Greenlanders. The purpose of these propaganda efforts is to sow the division between Nordic territory and its parent country, Denmark, operations journalists told journalists.

The secret efforts were initially reported by the public broadcaster of Denmark, Dr, who revealed on Wednesday that three American men “with links with the American president and the White House” had been “active in Greenland for a long time through various networks and contacts”. The report says that these men have embarked on a variety of activities, including compiling a list of sympathetic Greenlanders in the United States, while making a list of people who had expressed their Trump review. Men would also have collected stories from Greenlanders on Denmark which could be used to portray the country “in a bad day in the American media”, writes the Associated Press, quoting the original report. The Washington Post, also citing DR, says that two of the men have already worked for Trump.

The Danes are upset. If you are now going to the DR home page, you will find a wall blanket with a wall of the scandal. History has since been recovered by several leading American points of sale, and now the best American diplomat in Denmark has been summoned to speak with government officials in the country, because the fallout from the Roils International News scandal. In addition, Danish officials have released publicly to comment on allegations.

“We are aware that foreign actors continue to show an interest in Greenland and its position in the Kingdom of Denmark,” Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs said Lars Lars Løkke Rasmussen, to journalists. “It is therefore not surprising that we feel external attempts to influence the future of the kingdom in the time to come.” He added: “Any attempted intervention in the internal affairs of the kingdom will, of course, be unacceptable. With this in mind, I asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to convene American loading for a meeting at the Ministry.”

The Denmark intelligence agency, the Danish security and intelligence service, has also taken the unusual measure to comment on the incident, noting that “in particular in the current situation, Greenland is a target to influence the campaigns of various types”. These campaigns could be targeted to oppose Denmark and Greenland to each other and could be accomplished by “exploiting existing or manufactured disagreements, for example in connection with well-known individual cases, or by promoting or amplifying certain points of view in Greenland concerning the Kingdom, the United States or other countries with a particular interest in Greenland,” said the agency.

Despite the harassment of the Trump administration about a sale of its territory, Danish officials clearly indicated that Greenland was not for sale. In response to these layoffs, Trump was previously full Andrew Jackson and said that he did not exclude military force as a means of acquiring the territory. In May, a report by Wall Street Journal also said that the administration accelerated spy efforts for Denmark and Greenland. US intelligence would have been ordered to use surveillance satellites, telephone listening and human operators to collect information on the Nordic nation and its territory.

Why does Trump want to buy Greenland so badly? The answer can be complicated. Trump, himself, said that America needs the territory for “national security and even international security”, which is not a particularly unconventional explanation. However, as we previously pointed out, the Network State movement – a strange political movement with Trump – also expressed its interest in the purchase of Greenland and using it to test its techno -colonized efforts. Network statters want to build their own private cryptocurrency cities, and they consider Nordic territory as an excellent test bed for this effort. Dryden Brown, the CEO of the Praxis project linked to the state of the network, even said that the acquisition by the Trump administration of Greenland was part of the broader “plan” of its movement.

At the same time, companies supported by eminent Silicon Valley eminent dynamists (some of which have been linked to network) also expressed their interest in Greenland as a source of raw materials that could be used to feed the flourishing AI industry. The Trump administration would also have floated by paying Danish citizens an UBI type allowance (financed, probably, by the American taxpayer) in order to justify the Grab of the land.

In short: very few people want it to happen, but those who have a lot of money and power, and they don’t like to hear the word “no”. Given this context, the recent allegations of propaganda are not too surprising because, as regards Trump’s indecent proposal, the Groenlanders clearly need to convince. Surveys have constantly shown that only a fractional part of the population of the territory even has the lowest interest in the ownership of the United States
