“ Scarlet ” from Mamoru Hosoda collides at 2026 in North America

Mortal Kombat II is not the only film that leaves 2025. Scarlet, The next film by Studio Chizu and the director of anime Mamoru Hosoda, now arrives at the beginning of 2026 for the North American public.

Sony chose to repel the film from its first location on December 12. He should always be released on November 21 in Japan and screen in film festivals in Venice, Toronto and New York through their respective film festivals in early September and early October. The press release calls for these projections from the “Run qualification” festival, which can help explain the delay: previous hospital films have won local and international prizes and welcomed criticism, which makes it more attractive to the public.

Announced for the first time last April, Scarlet Focus on the young titular princess who escapes through time and space after witnessing the murder of her father. After the end of her first blow in Revenge, she found herself in the land of the dead, a limbo for those who fail in their recovery quests. But Scarlet does not yet give up, and she crosses paths with a modern man named Hijiri.

For those who live outside North and Japan America, the Sony’s international subsidiary will manage the film’s release in other territories. But as with North America, there is not yet a difficult date for the film in these territories – it is enough to wait a certain time before hearing or seeing more from the film.
