The Australian fugitive helped escape the capture, say the police

A fugitive who would have murdered two officers in a small rural town in Victoria in Australia is helped by certain members of the community, police said.
Dezi Freeman has been on the run since last Tuesday, when the police arrived in his property in Porepunkah to execute a search warrant, would have linked to an investigation into sexual crimes.
Mr. Freeman, a theorist known to the conspiracy, escaped in the thickness of the bush bordering the property, with a massive man hunt for him now in his seventh day.
His wife, Amalia Freeman, had previously urged him to turn around and offered his condolences to the families of the officers he would have killed.
Victoria Police – Who has already called for Mr. Freeman to surrender – says that there had still been no observation of the 56 -year -old man.
“People know where the person who killed two cops are located,” said Brett Kahan Superintendent on Monday in an update.
“You commit an extremely serious crime by hosting or helping the escape of Dezi Freeman.”
He refused to specify the number of people that the police suspected, or if they were residents of the city of Porepunkah or neighboring regions.
Police had arrested and quickly released Ms. Freeman and a 15 -year -old child when the Porepunkah property descended on Thursday evening, but provided any additional information.
Ms. Freeman said that she and her children “respected the important work of the Victoria police and did not hear anti-authority opinions”, in a statement published by her lawyers.
Police, helicopters and highly armed armored vehicles have now searched the area where Mr. Freeman has disappeared for almost a week.
The murders have relaunched questions about how the Australian authorities deal with the threat of conspiracy theorists – three years after an ambush of obsessive police in Queensland.
Mr. Freeman had long married the “sovereign citizens” and had a well -documented hatred of authority.
Victoria police said an in -depth assessment of risks had been conducted before 10 police officers went to his property, but that the support of the specialized police had not been requested.
