Gianluigi Donnarumma Set for Manchester City Switch

Manchester City concluded an agreement to sign the goalkeeper of Paris Saint-Germain, Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Italian international is planned for a medical in Italy this afternoon with the framework of an agreement between the clubs agreed last month.
Donnarumma will replace Ederson while the number one of the club with the Brazilian international should join Fenerbahce before the window closed later during the day.
Donnarumma was a key member of the PSG team who won the first club Champions League Trophy last season with a series of impressive presentations – notably against Liverpool in the round of 16.
He played in the club World Cup, but was then surprisingly omitted from the Luis Enrique team for the victory of the Super Cup against Tottenham.
And when PSG signed Lucas Chevalier de Lille, writing was on the wall for the 26 -year -old.
Donnarumma is an excellent shooting shooter but is not considered one of the best goalkeepers in Europe with his feet.
And Luis Enrique admitted: “He is one of the best players in his position, without a doubt. He is even better as a person. We are looking for a different goalkeeper profile from Donnarumma. It is always difficult to make the decision in these kinds of situations.”
It therefore seems a surprising choice for a team trained by Pep Guardiola, and the Polar Opposite of Ederson, which is excellent for building movements from the rear.
Donnarumma joined AC Milan PSG in 2021 and made 161 appearances for the club in all competitions, keeping 56 clean sheets.
He played 74 appearances for Italy and won the tournament player’s trophy after the Azzurri captain in the Euro 2020 title four years ago.
