Punjab of Pakistan struck by the worst floods in history
Pakistan’s province of Punjab Eastern Pakistan faces the worst floods in its history, with around 1.5 million people affected in thousands of northeast villages. At the national level, more than 850 people died during the monsoon season of this year. The situation was aggravated by the excess water released from the Indian dams and the broader impacts of climate change.
