A 37 -year -old man from Widnes, England, was imprisoned for eight months after “seriously attacking a staff worker and damaged several slot machines” in a casino.

The conviction took place at the beginning of the month, on August 1, the man found guilty of criminal damage, inflicting serious bodily lesions and the possession of an article with a blade in public. There was a four -day trial in Liverpool Crown Court.

According to Police from Cheshire, the “Court heard on June 11, 2023 Lupo, 37, caused £ 8,734 ($ 11,740) of damage using a bar stool to crush five slot machines in a commercial property of the Cockhedge, Warrington shopping center.

“After Lupo damaged the slot machines, a member of the public tried to intervene and prevent Lupo from filling other damage and fleeing the scene.

“However, during the confrontation, Lupo attacked him with a locking knife which was in his possession, which led to the man undergoing multiple wounds, including cuts to the back of the head, arms and legs.”

The knife was removed from the man by the staff member, with colleagues and members of the public intervening and holding Lupo until the police arrived and arrest him.

Damage has been caused to five slot machines in the attack on the Warrington casino

“In his interview with the police, Lupo denied his accusations of criminal damage, but said that he had got angry with the slot machines, who had” lied “,” said the police.

The 37 -year -old also said that a member of the public had tried to prevent him from leaving the premises and, therefore, he pushed this person to the group. He denied having caused the injuries with the locking knife.

The agent of the detective Stephan Wolstenholme said: “Even in the light of Constantine Lupo, now his innocence throughout the investigation and forcing the victim to relive the incident before the court, I hope that today’s result offers a certain assurance to the victim implicated in this unjustified and violent test.

“It could have been a potentially fatal situation for the staff member who had rightly challenged Lupo, who could not manage the result of his afternoon of play and caused a substantial amount of damage to several machines he had used.

“The victim simply did everything he could to arrest Lupo’s unleashing and did not deserve to be violently attacked. The Cheshire police deal with each attack with the most serious and our police will do everything they can to obtain the victims of the justice they deserve. ”
