ACMA makes an additional request to block illegal game platforms


The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) asked to block more illicit online gaming sites, after surveys showed that they violated the 2001 interactive play law.
The regulator asked Australian Internet service providers (ISP) to prohibit the following websites:
- Living room
- Betzillo
- Fastspin999
- Spinator
- Pokiespro
ACMA declares that since its first blocking request in November 2019, 1,322 illegal Paris sites and their affiliates have been closed. This is a continuous problem, because once some sites are blocked, others appear, but this application tool is effective.
Last month, the authority applied similar to a number of sites to block, Including the prominent prediction platform, polymarket.
ACMA also detailed that since new online illegal game rules had been adopted eight years ago, around 200 platforms were removed from the Australian market.

ACMA issues warnings against the use of illicit platforms
