AGA research indicates that users consider

New research from the American Gaming Association (AGA) has revealed that consumers knowingly used online casinos for the game, the platforms exploiting legal gaps to deliberately target actors in key states.
This action undermines the regulated game industry, provoking a meticulous examination of game regulators, general prosecutors and legislatures.
The data of the Tower of the Sensors, compiled by AGA, indicated that at the beginning of 2025, 50% of online casino advertisements favored the unregulated casinos of offshore “competitions”, with strong advertisement in populated states.
New Aga Research confirms that consumers consider that drawing casinos are games of chance. By exploiting gaps in the law, these operations undermine the integrity of the legal regulated game market.

The results show that despite their non -regulated status, 68% of users consider these platforms as game sites, motivated by the desire to earn real money.
Although the emphasis is placed on attracting it from users who know their illicit status, several competition companies intentionally reproduce the design and language of legal operators, confusing consumers and in the duration of others.
“These operators present themselves as legal and regulated platforms – but they operate outside the law and the regulations,” said VERY York, vice -president of AGA government relations.
“There are few or no responsible game tools, no regulatory surveillance and no consumer protection. It is a dangerous subterfuge that puts players at real risk.”
Customers see through the competition, explains Aga VP
Critics would say that this reflects the need for a strict continuous application and public awareness, while ASA research has also detailed that the number of user users is about twice as high in states that do not prohibit activity.
York continued an overwhelming conclusion, calling on the authorities to take measures.
“The data is clear. Consumers see through the facade of the “competition” casino, and they call it what it is: the game.
“We are impatiently waiting for decision -makers to continue to enforce their laws and create clarity thanks to new political measures to protect their residents.”
The assault against the competition continues after the CEO of BETMGM, Adam Greenblatt, spoke to discredit alternative social casinos in a recent interview.
He said that the competition should be rendered illegal because it is negative for the regulated sector, while welcoming the actions taken in states such as New York, California, Connecticut to prohibit activity.
