A buttock of new iPhone 17 glass tiles and Apple watches are not the only new products that Apple should make its debut when it is annual fall launch next month. The latest iOS 26 Beta 6 developer who has just dropped yesterday has references for real -time translation functionality which will almost certainly be announced for AirPods. Basically, instead of opening the Google Translate or Apple Translate application on your phone, you can simply speak to a person normally, and the airpods in your ears can translate another language directly into your mother tongue.

Apple fanatics at 9TO5MAC shared an image within the beta developer representing AirPods with several different languages, in particular English, French, German and Portuguese. It can be the first languages with which the live translation function for AirPods Lance. As a rule, each time Apple (and other technological companies) publishes features with non -English translation or linguistic support, deployment is limited to a few languages, with more addition to a later date.

9TO5MAC claims that the live translation function is confirmed for AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4. Airpods older and potentially even AirPods Max may not be supported, but it is in the air until Apple makes an official announcement. Nor do we know if Apple will limit any live translation function to the AirPod Pro 2 with USB-C or AirPods 4 with Anc, leaving the Lightning version for AirPods Pro 2 and the non-all model for AirPods 4 to eat dust.

Real -time translation in wireless headphones is nothing new, but if Apple announces such a functionality in September, it would present it as a kind of IA breakthrough. Google has had a budget translation from the original wireless pixel buds. Do you remember these? Those who came with a cable connecting the two buds together? The latest Pixel Buds Pro and Pro 2 from Google support the translation live, but not the Buds A Buds A. Galaxy Buds 3 Pro series from Samsung also has its own version of the translation in real time. Each pair of wireless eguses uses its own complementary translation application, and Apple would also do it with AirPods.

The big difference between the release of a functionality as useful as real -time translation on AirPods against Pixel Buds or Galaxy Buds is a pure range. Airpods are everywhere – dominating the “real wireless stereo space” (TWS) of a significant quantity. According to the research company on analysts of the Canalys technology market, Apple wireless headphones and headphones (including its Beats products) ordered 23%of the global TWS market share in the first quarter of 2025, with Xiaomi in second place with 11.5%, Samsung in third place with 7%, Huawei entering 6%and a 5%boat. With so many Apple wireless headphones and headphones used, new features such as translation could become more quickly due to the larger property.

The live translation would broaden the same functionality as Apple launches in the phone, messages and applications Facetime with the latest software updates “26”. It would also mark one of the most practical AI features that users can really find useful compared to the Gimmicky Genmoji or Image Playground application. The AI as an imperative reason to buy new equipment has not yet taken off exactly. The “PC IA” highlighting the usefulness of the co -pilot or Microsoft pixel devices loaded with Gemini have largely encountered a collective “MEH”. Perhaps AI in headphones will break the lukewarm interest.

Do not be surprised if Apple also announces new, more powerful AirPods (Pro 3?) To manage language treatment. The translation would also make easy marketing that shoots the hearts for the holidays.
