Amazon facilitates continuing shopping after having already checked. A new feature allows users to add additional items to deliveries to come instead of starting a whole new order.

Suppose you have forgotten to add eggs to your grocery cart or make an hour later that you run low on hygienic paper, you can now deposit these last minute items in your order before it is not necessary to start over the checkout.

The electronic commerce giant announced today the functionality, the appellant “add to delivery”. With a single tap, buyers can add items eligible for their next scheduled delivery.

Adding to delivery follows a long line of options that the company has deployed over the years to make purchases feel more flexible. Amazon Day allows users to choose a specific day of weekly so that all their packages arrive at the same time. Delivery without rush, on the other hand, pushes buyers to slow down their orders in exchange for discounts or credits which can be spent for digital products such as electronic books, films and applications.

On the other hand, adding to delivery goes in the opposite direction, allowing users to buy more things and get them more quickly.

He also arrives because Amazon continues to upgrade his shipping machine. In August, the company extended to grocery delivery the same day at 2,000 American cities, covering perishable such as milk, meat and seafood. This feat is propelled by the logistics muscle that Amazon has been built since its delivery launch the same day in 2015. For fresh races, the company is based on a network of installations with controlled temperature designed to ensure the safety of transit food.

How to add to delivery

When users travel the Amazon or Amazon.com shopping application on mobile, the eligible items now display a “Add to delivery” button directly on the product page.

“If we can always add to your delivery which arrives later in the day or tomorrow, you will see the option add to delivery when shopping, and with a tap, you will have finished,” the company said in a press release.

The button tapping instantly adds the item to the next planned delivery. If a user strikes the button by mistake or simply changes your mind, there is also an option “Cancel” to delete an item.

The items available to add to delivery include pantry staples, pet toys, electronics, clothing and books.

For the moment, adding to delivery is exclusively available for first -rate members.
