Angel Postcoglou set to replace the nuno espírito santo dismissed in Nottingham Forest

The Nottingham Forest will turn to Angel Postocoglou to replace Nuno Espírito Santo, according to general reports this morning.
Nuno was dismissed during the night despite Forest management in seventh place in the Premier League last season and a return to European competition for the first time in 30 years.
His relationship with the Greek owner of the club Evangelos Marinakis deteriorated in recent months, the Portuguese admitting “they were not closer”.
Postcoglou available after the dismissal of Spurs
Marinakis will now entrust the role to Postcoglou, who is without work after being dismissed by Tottenham in June, shortly after having led the club as the Europa League with a victory against Manchester United in Bilbao.
The 60 -year -old man was born in Athens before migrating to Australia when he was a child.
And Marinakis previously Félicité Postecoglou to be a great ambassador of Greece.
In July, he gave the old Celtic boss a price to the old Celtic boss and declared, in the remarks reported by Neos Kosmos: “What I mean on Angel is that he spoke of Greece several times, he is proud to be Greek and in the great success he had with Tottenham by winning the Europa League, he spoke of Greece.
“A man who not only does not hide his origin but who is also proud of it. What he achieved, he has done with a team that has won no titles, he has had a very difficult period in recent years. In this huge success that the whole world has seen, he has promoted Greece.”
Change of direction in the forest
Postcoglou will bring a fully different football philosophy on the city of the city. Nuno has always been considered a pragmatic coach, happy to win matches without dominating possession.
PostCoglou is the opposite with his high press, his high possession, total attack tactics leading to national league titles in Australia, Japan and Scotland.
However, he failed to collect similar premises in the Premier League. The Spurs finished fifth in his first season in charge, but their shape alarmingly withdrew the second year when they came 17th, losing 22 of their 38 championship games.
Postcoglou will also have to manage upwards with Marinakis and the sports director of the Edu club influential figures.
And it was Marinakis’ rupture in relations with Nuno that led to his departure.
A club statement, published at 1215 pm this morning, read: “Nottingham Forest Football Club confirms that, following recent circumstances, Nuno Espírito Santo was relieved today of his functions as a head coach.
“The club thanks Nuno for its contribution to a very successful time at City Ground, in particular its role in the 2024/25 season, which will remain forever in the history of the club.
“As a person who played a central role in our success last season, he will always occupy a special place in our trip.”
SOUR relationship after Awoniyi ROW
Nuno and Marinakis had taken a collision class for some time after an audience falls after the 2-2 draw with Leicester at the end of last season.
Marinakis confronted with anger the former boss of Tottenham after a confusion with the medical staff who saw the striker Taiwo Awoniyi staying on the field despite an injury that left him motionless for the rest of the match.
The cracks between the coach and the owner resurfaced at the start of this quarter, Nuno feeling the burst generated by obtaining a Europa League place was not capitalized on the transfer market.
He was vocal in his disappointment before the opening of the season against Brentford and a week later when Forest went to Crystal Palace, admitting that his relationship with Marinakis had “changed” and that they were no longer “close”.
The club made movements in the window with Igor Jesus, Dan Ndoye, James Mcatee, Douglas Luiz and Omari Hutchinson who all arrive.
But the Marinakis and the Sports Director Edu would have been impressed by the fact that Hutchinson, a signing of 37 million pounds of club sterling, was omitted from the Euro Euro League team.
