Another Prime Minister who left for France: how a budget deficit has become a political crisis

French Prime Minister François Bayrou submitted his resignation on Tuesday after losing a vote with confidence in Parliament. He had played on a demanding budget more than 40 billion euros in savings. The plan would have frozen well-being services, would reduce civil service jobs and have abandoned two holidays. President Emmanuel Macron then appointed Sébastien Lecornu, a long -standing ally, as a new French Prime Minister to recover the coat to try to spend a budget by a divided parliament. So where is the country’s economy now? Charles Pellegrin discusses it and even more with Alexandra Roulet, associate professor of economics at INSEAD.
