Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter among the winners

The MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) took place in New York, with high -level figures from the music industry that go to the red carpet.

Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and Lady Gaga all returned home with prices.

Grande won the video of the year for brighter days to come, while Carpenter won the prizes for the best pop artist, the best album and the best visual effects, saying that it is grateful to make music that brings light in a world so “full of criticism and negativity”.

Gaga won four trophies, including the artist of the year, and thanked his fans, known as “Little Monsters”.

“Thank you for supporting the little monster in me,” said Gaga.
