According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are interested in signing Ousmane Diomande ahead of the Premier League players Chelsea, and Sporting CP man wants to go to London.
He won’t be cheap, however, with Sporting wanting between £50-60m (£42-51m) to sell their midfielder this month. Whether Arsenal will be in a rush to match such a price remains to be seen, but those at the Emirates saw how big the drop could be in the back line when William Saliba was unavailable against Aston Villa.

The numbers don’t lie, and it’s clear that as a 21-year-old centre-back, Diomande could be the future of Arsenal’s backline should they win Chelsea this month or in the summer transfer window.
