Ebelechi Eze Transfer: Why did Arsenal signed Arsenal?
One of the most impressive attackers fields operating in the division, Eze contributed 14 goals and 11 assists in 43 games in all competitions last season, the Eagles preferring to use it on the left, but giving their second marker a itinerant role.
Six days before scoring the winner against Manchester City in the FA Cup final on May 17, Eze scored twice in three minutes in a 2-0 victory in Tottenham as part of a sequence of 12 direct involvement of goal in 12 games.
Eze, born south of London, joined the Arsenal Academy at the age of eight and was released at 13, bearing his name to QPR between 2016 and 2020, becoming the player of the year on the championship side and the player of the players in 2019/20.
“My dream was to play for Arsenal,” Eze told Rising Ballers in 2022. “Liberation was the most difficult.
“Hearing them say no, at 13, it was difficult. I remember trained after my release. I couldn’t concentrate – I was just crying.
“But that helped me so much in all the other refusals that I faced. I thought” if I can pass through Arsenal freeing me, I can pass through anything. “”
Keep the King’s Statistics
Arsenal would have been eager to move for Eze because of his form for Palace, with whom he had signed a contract extension until 2027 in 2023 and scored his last goal in the FA Cup final, obtaining the club their first major trophy.
Expert dribbler with an eye for an incisive pass, Eze also finished 11 goals and six assists in 31 games in 2023/24.
England gave Eze its senior debut in June 2023 and it made three substitute matches to help the three Lions reach the final of Euro 2024.
A first international goal followed in a 3-0 home victory against Latvia in the second current match of Manager Thomas Tuchel in charge, Eze, in the German game during the German defeat 3-1 against Senegal in June.
Nigeria wanted to cap Eze, who has Nigerian parents and admitted that he had not yet decided to play in the country in England in England under 2120 in 2020.
When asked what brought him best in 2023, Eze told Athletic: “A structure to know what I have to do, but the license and the freedom to express myself and do what I think is just at any time.
“I have the impression that if I am given this license, I can be free and create, and that’s where I can make things happen.”
History of Eze’s injuries
Eze was absent for more than five months in 2021 with an Achilles tendon problem, but returned to play in all Palace Premier League matches the following season.
He missed 12 games in 2023/24 with hamstrings, ankle injuries and muscles, and another problem of the hamstrings made him miss three clubs and two international games in 2024/25.
