Bluebet sentenced to a fine of $ 53,000 after letting the man play $ 700,000

Bluebet was sentenced to a fine of $ 53,380 by the Northern Territory (NTRWC) racing commission for failing to intervene properly when a customer played more than $ 700,000 on his platform. The customer declared losses of around $ 570,000 before the end of their account.
According to the committee’s decision report, a BlueBet VIP account manager continued to encourage the customer to bet, in particular by offering bonus bets, despite signs of problematic play behavior. The commission noted a case where the customer spent about $ 40,000 during an 11 -hour session, after which the director encouraged a new game activity.
To convince him to continue playing despite massive losses regularly, the VIP director would put bonus bets on the account, encouraging the game with a stamp of free turns.
Bluebet argued that he had checked the individual when he found that several attempts to play with his credit card had failed. The NTRWC was not convinced, saying that it was stimulated by failed transactions, not the person himself.
NTRWC on BlueBet
Speaking in the decision -making report, the NTRWC said:
“No stadium, the account manager mentioned that Bluebet was concerned about his Paris activities from a responsible game perspective.
“On the contrary, the VIP director continued to encourage the complainant to bet with Bluebet by the promise of the bonus supply to come.
“Given the many previous red flags, it is extremely worrying that the complainant himself had tense to Bluebet to be closed.
“Bluebet has missed multiple opportunities for timely and appropriate action, and it is disappointing that the responsibility remained on the complainant rather than Bluebet playing a more assertive role in the protection of the complainant against additional damage.”
Bluebet and Betr merged last year, and in August 2024, he adopted the Betr brand. He was also on a small series of acquisitions, which we reported earlier this year. Last year, he was fined for advertising offenses.
