Casino chips included in the new American cash policy “without tax on advice”

A policy resulting from the law on one Big Beautiful Bill (OBBBA) of President Donald Trump would allow workers to deduce taxes for advice received via casino chips.
An IRS policy, coming from the OBBBA which was collected in July, would make casino chips included in a tax relief which applies to “tangible or intangible tokens which are easily exchangeable for a fixed amount in cash”. Although this is not focused only on casino chips and also includes advice given by check, credit card or debit, gift card and electronic payment, this is good news for casino workers, at a time when the future of physical casinos is threatened.
The policy “ No Tax On Tips ” was presented for the first time by President Trump last year and declares that workers will be able to implement the rule when filing their taxes in 2026. Policy will remain in place until the end of 2028, which means that employees can deduce up to $ 25,000.
Beyond casino chips
In addition to including casino chips for game players, other roles that have been mentioned in relation to OBBBA policy are home repair workers, tutors, hairstyles, pet guards, golf caddies, travel guides, valet drivers and fitness coaches, to name just a few.
However, casino chips are mentioned directly in the explanation of the provisions on the federal register, stressing that it is apparently a direct objective of the policy. Workers will also benefit from the policy “ without a tax on advice ” thanks to taking into account the agreements to determinate the advice and compliance agreements of the game industry, which means that IRS do not require workers to follow individual advice by taking advantage of a fixed rate for their tax reports.
There will be a public audience to answer any questions about politics on October 23.
